Reads like a zine.
Runs like a clinic.

Ironbound opened in 2017 around a simple idea: a flash sheet is a love letter to the craft. Every artist on our bench keeps an open binder of original designs alongside fully custom work — so you can flip through, claim a piece, or commission something only you will ever wear. Bold-line traditionalists, fine-line botanists, blackwork architects, Japanese storytellers, and realism specialists share one room and one uncompromising standard: single-use needles, autoclaved tools, implant-grade jewelry, and a written aftercare card on every visit. We read like a zine and run like a clinic.
We sit in a daylight studio on SE Stark in the Central Eastside — six resident tattooers covering traditional, fine-line, blackwork, Japanese, realism, and lettering, plus a dedicated body piercer. Walk in to flip the book, or book a free consult to plan something custom.
The house rules
Clinic-grade safety
Licensed, permitted, BBP-certified, single-use needles, autoclaved tools. The art is the fun part; safety is the standard.
A real flash book
Every artist keeps an open binder of original designs. Pull a sheet, or commission something only you will wear.
Independent artists
A collective, not a factory. Each artist owns their book, their style, and their booking.
Honest expectations
We tell you the truth about placement, line weight, healing, and longevity — before the first needle.
